Calendly alternative

A Calendly alternative that lives in Switzerland.

Calendly is convenient — but US-hosted, closed and pricey. Kalenda is the direct counter-proposal: open source, run in Switzerland, with CalDAV instead of vendor lock-in.

Why switch at all?

Three reasons. First: data location. Calendly is US cloud — the CLOUD Act gives US authorities access. Second: cost. CHF 29/month for unlimited calendars versus USD 12–15 per user per month at Calendly — Kalenda pays off from 3 users onwards. Third: lock-in. Calendly's data is Calendly's data — migration is hard. With Kalenda you export via CalDAV any time.

Which Calendly features does Kalenda not have yet?

Honestly: Kalenda is leaner. We don't (yet) have round-robin distribution across teams, no Stripe pay-in-flow checkout, no Salesforce integration. If you specifically need those three, Calendly is the better choice today. If not, you gain sovereignty, transparency and a lower price with Kalenda.

What does a migration look like in practice?

Most Calendly users at our shop migrate in one afternoon: 1) Set up the CalDAV connection to your backend (OpenDesk, Nextcloud or iCloud — all work). 2) Configure your booking page with availability. 3) Add the iFrame snippet to your website. 4) Cancel Calendly. We help with steps 1–3 at no extra cost.
