OpenDesk booking

Appointment booking for the OpenDesk family.

OpenDesk from the Centre for Digital Sovereignty (ZenDiS) is the public sector's sovereign answer to US office suites. Kalenda is the matching online appointment booking — same spirit, same stack, same privacy promise.

Why OpenDesk + Kalenda?

OpenDesk gives you Open-Xchange for email and calendar, NextCloud for files, Element for chat — all in federally certified German or Swiss data centres. What's missing: an elegant, publicly shareable appointment booking. Kalenda fills exactly this gap. We speak the CalDAV protocol that Open-Xchange exposes natively, without you having to run an additional connector.

Setup in 4 steps

First: fetch the CalDAV endpoint from Open-Xchange (Profile → Accounts → copy CalDAV URL). Second: enter the endpoint with service account credentials in PROVIDERS JSON (encrypted in Keeper Secrets Manager). Third: test the booking page — demo mode if not yet productive. Fourth: embed the iFrame in your website, done.

Where is it hosted?

At cloud services ag we run OpenDesk + Kalenda as an integrated stack at the Eastern Switzerland Data Centre (RZO Gais — Tier IV, ISO 27001). If you run your own OpenDesk (e.g. at BWI or an accredited hoster), Kalenda runs alongside without trouble — either self-hosted or as managed SaaS that connects via CalDAV to your instance.

What does the combination cost?

We invoice OpenDesk operation separately on request. Kalenda on top: CHF 790/year On-Premise (if you self-host) or CHF 29/month SaaS (unlimited calendars, CHF 23.20/month on annual). One flat rate for the whole organisation, regardless of how many users have calendars.
